February 22, 2023
In order to strengthen transparency and accountability of decentralized public bodies, on Tuesday morning, February 21, representatives of the private sector and civil society presented to the State Congress an initiative of Publicity in the sessions of government bodies and decentralized public bodies.
The reform initiative was presented and signed by Jesús López, CAINTRA's Director of Institutional Relations; Jorge Cervantes, President of CAINTRA's Young Entrepreneurs Commission; Cecilia Carrillo López, General Director of Coparmex Nuevo León; Sandrine Molinard, Director of the Civic Council of Nuevo León Institutions A.C.; and Sergio Anguiano Ayala, General Director of CANACO Monterrey.
Lorena de la Garza, president of the Mobility Commission, who we recognize as an ally in this and all issues of interest to the industry and society, was present on behalf of the state's Legislative Branch.
The amendments presented reform four laws so that the sessions of the Board of Directors / Governing Body of the following public agencies: SIMEPRODE, Mejora Regulatoria y Simplificación Administrativa, Servicios de Agua y Drenaje de Monterrey and METRORREY can be broadcast live on the internet on their official websites, social networks and YouTube.

These entities are of public interest and service to the citizens, and we seek to ensure that decisions, votes, proposals and work plans are totally transparent, since these are issues that directly affect the lives of the people of Nuevo León.
In this way, public opinion will have direct access to information, which is a right of society, in addition to the fact that this transparency generates greater trust.
The Institute of Mobility's sessions are broadcast live and are open to the general public, as well as the sessions of the State Congress, which can be viewed on YouTube.
The initiative has been worked on as a whole, the next step is to turn it over to the board of directors and then to the committee to be voted on in plenary.
