SMEs are a priority for CAINTRA. They account for 99% of all businesses in Mexico, generate 72% of formal employment, and contribute 52% to the national Gross Domestic Product. At CAINTRA, 85% of our members are SMEs, so one of our main objectives is to support them in their growth and development.

To achieve this objective, the Chamber works on four fundamental pillars: financing, administrative simplification, training, and productive linkages. The latter responds to one of the main needs of SMEs: finding new clients, opening doors, and becoming part of the value chains of large companies.

In this regard, the Expo PyME Business Matchmaking Event has established itself as one of the country's premier business networking spaces, generating concrete opportunities for SMEs to have direct contact with buying companies and present their products and services to those who make purchasing decisions.

For the 2026 edition, which will take place on September 8, 9, and 10 at CINTERMEX, the Business Meeting will feature more than 100 buying companies, nearly 300 decision-making executives, and more than 1,500 product and service requirements, with the capacity to generate up to 3,000 business meetings during the three days of the event.

Taken together, these opportunities represent a potential of up to $ 14,500 million pesos in purchases from SMEs, which highlights the importance of this space as a platform to directly access major companies and generate new business opportunities.

Expo PyME also continues to grow in scope and dimension. By 2026, the area will increase by 20%, growing from 8,116 to 9,757 square meters, with a target of 15,000 visitors, compared to the approximately 13,000 recorded in 2025, consolidating itself as the largest edition in the history of Expo PyME.

Juan Pablo García Garza, Director General of CAINTRA, emphasized the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises to the Chamber: “SMEs are the heart, they are a large part of the agenda and the efforts we make in the Chamber.”

SMEs will have the opportunity to present their products and services directly to companies looking for new suppliers and solutions to strengthen their supply chains. Participation will be free of charge, and interested companies can check the requirements and apply to the opportunities that match their capabilities through www.caintraconnect.org.mx

With a 26-year track record, CAINTRA reaffirms its commitment to being close to SMEs, opening doors for them, and generating opportunities so they can grow, strengthen their capabilities, and access new markets. Through Expo PyME and its networking strategy, the Chamber will continue working so that more small and medium-sized enterprises integrate into value chains and take the next step in their development, thereby contributing to a stronger, more competitive industry with greater opportunities for all.
