CAINTRA is the business organization that represents the Industrialists of Nuevo León. Promotes and provides services that foster the best conditions to increase the competitiveness of its Partners.
Mission
We are an institution of the industrialists and for the industrialists of Nuevo León with the purpose of being their collective voice and union space and acting as a counterweight to public policies and government actions at the local, state and federal level on issues of industrial competitiveness. We influence our partners so that they can understand their environment and be part of the changes necessary to improve it. CAINTRA seeks, collaboratively with its members, to effectively take advantage, confront, address and resolve common opportunities and threats within the Nuevo León industry. We seek to contribute to the growth, sustainability, competitiveness and economic leadership of the industrialists of Nuevo León.

40's
1940s - The state of Nuevo León was consolidated as a cutting-edge industrial center where 557 industries led business development. Almost 50 percent of the economically active population was employed in manufacturing companies.
The Chamber of the Transformation Industry of Nuevo León (CAINTRA) is established with the objective of representing and defending the general interests of the industrial sector, as well as being a consultative body to influence the competitiveness of the state and the country.

February 1944

Participation in the creation of the Monterrey Productivity Center, which later became the Monterrey CCM Competitiveness Center.
Creation of the Environmental Protection Institute of Nuevo León, with the mission of ensuring and supporting industrialists in compliance with environmental regulations.

Creation of the International Business Center, CINTERMEX, as the main industrial exhibition center in the north of the country within the framework of commercial opening.

Participation and influence in the NAFTA negotiations, with the aim of expanding markets and promoting competition.
