Mission

We are an institution of the industrialists and for the industrialists of Nuevo León with the purpose of being the collective voice and the place of union between them, also acting as a counterweight to public policies and government actions at the local, state and federal levels in matters of industrial competitiveness. We influence our partners so they can understand their environment and be part of the changes needed to improve it. CAINTRA seeks, in a collaborative manner with its members, to take advantage of, face, address and resolve common opportunities and threats within the Nuevo León industry in an effective manner. Our history

40's

The 40's - The state of Nuevo León was consolidated as a vanguard industrial center where 557 industries headed the business development. Almost 50 percent of the economically active population had their employment in manufacturing companies.

The Chamber of the Transformation Industry of Nuevo León (CAINTRA) is constituted with the objective of representing and defending the general interests of the industrial sector, as well as being a consultative organization that influences the competitiveness of the state and the country.

Participation in the creation of the Productivity Center of Monterrey, which later became the Center of Competitiveness of Monterrey CCM.

Creation of the Environmental Protection Institute of Nuevo León, with the mission of ensuring and supporting industrialists in the compliance of environmental regulations.

Creation of the International Business Center, CINTERMEX, as the main industrial exhibition center in the north of the country within the framework of the “commercial opening”.

Participation and influence in the NAFTA negotiations, with the objective of expanding markets and encouraging competition.
