CAINTRA and FONACOT renew agreement to benefit workers in the industry
November 10, 2025
CAINTRA Nuevo León and the Instituto del Fondo Nacional para el Consumo de los Trabajadores (FONACOT) renewed this Monday, November 10, the collaboration agreement that facilitates the affiliation of industrial companies to the public organization, so that their workers can access the credits and benefits it offers.
Since the first signing of the agreement in 2023, CAINTRA has promoted FONACOT's workshops and training schemes among its affiliated companies, training more than 520 people in the registration process. This coordination has streamlined the assignment of appointments and the management of loans, strengthening the welfare of employees.
The agreement endorses the industrial chamber's commitment to improving the working conditions and productivity of the sector, which generates more than 667,000 jobs in Nuevo León. It also contributes to the regulatory compliance of the companies registered in the REPSE, by facilitating their affiliation to FONACOT through advice and support.
Present at the event on behalf of FONACOT were Pablo Javier Morales Ávila, State Director in Monterrey, and Adrián Herrera Zazueta, North Regional Director; while CAINTRA was represented by Juan Pablo García Garza, General Director, Jesús López Molina, Director of Institutional Relations, and Sagrario Gracia Arana, Director of Legal and Tax Services.

Juan Pablo García Garza, General Director of the Chamber, highlighted the relevance of the renewal of this agreement:
"We are the state with the lowest labor informality, with 33.7% compared to 54.8% nationally, and industrial wages are around 10% higher than the country's average. In this context, a formal, transparent and accessible credit such as FONACOT's strengthens people's wellbeing and, at the same time, boosts the competitiveness of SMEs."
Pablo Javier Morales Ávila, Monterrey State Director of FONACOT, emphasized that the loans granted by the organization have the lowest rates in the market.

"The variation we currently have in rates is between 8 and 17%,... if we compare it with products that have the same characteristics such as payroll deduction, etc.; it is one of the lowest we currently have in the market. In addition to this, FONACOT loans do not have an origination fee, which ultimately reduces the cost of the money that is lent.
CAINTRA will continue to disseminate the benefits of the Institute through its communication channels and activities, in order to increase the number of affiliated companies and support more workers in the industrial sector.
